Feed and Strengthen Your Body

When you want to achieve something and set a goal, it is equally important to keep your progress and not to lose your momentum. Feeding your mind daily, as I wrote on my previous post, is one of the five ways to keep on track. Second one is to feed and strengthen your body.


Exercise. Move. Do something for 5 to 30 minutes everyday that exerts some energy in your body, pushes you and builds physical muscle.


Your mind and your body work as one. For instance fear is physical. You feel uptight, stressed when you fear. So is courage. It doesn't mean you are not afraid. It means you are afraid but you did it anyway. Courage is actually a habit. Something you can be trained on. Based on NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) the way you use your body completely wires the way your emotions work as well. Therefore training your body not only helps you to strengthen it but also enables you to be in charge of your emotions, your mind.


Find out something you can do as little as five minutes. Something to push yourself beyond what you are comfortable with, something to push you through the limitation of fear.


Do it at least 6 days a week.


It can be a super strong walk, a sprint or lifting weights...


I have always wondered how to challenge and discipline my body and decided to run London marathon in 2018 with no previous running experience. I knew I could do 5km, 10km, 15km but I was not sure whether I can run a marathon. That was beyond my comfort limit. I self trained myself based on the principles of chi-running and had one of the best days of my life on the marathon day. I loved every second of it.


Training your body not only builds physical muscle but also mental, emotional and spiritual muscle. Once you start training and make it a habit, it gives you energy, joy and confidence.
